New Zealand Post is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced providers for the supply, implementation, and ongoing support of EFTPOS (Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale) services across our operations.

This RFP outlines our requirements for a secure, reliable, and cost-effective EFTPOS solution that meets the needs of our customers and aligns with our strategic goals. We invite vendors with proven capability in delivering EFTPOS services in complex and high-volume environments to submit their proposals.

The intention of this procurement initiative is to establish a contract with a single supplier to supply New Zealand Post with EFTPOS terminals for our stores. NZ Post’s current fleet of EFTPOS terminals are nearing end of life due to PCI compliance requirements. This RFP’s purpose is to source suitable terminals, PCI compliant to the latest specification, to replace the existing fleet and integrate with Retail’s Point of Sale (POS) system, Triquestra Infinity. It is intended that these terminals will last till the next compliance cycle in at least 2031.

A one-stage, open tender process will be used where potential suppliers will be invited to respond for the lease of these terminals. We may also consider purchase through a lease arrangement. New Zealand Post is interested in credible Suppliers that have a proven track-record in delivering leased options for EFTPOS terminals, to large and dynamic organisations.

Respondents:
• Must be currently integrated with Triquestra Infinity POS (proven integration) The solution will be supported by ECL or nominated NZP support partner
• Solution must be switch agnostic – certified, and not locked into one switch Provider
• All respondents to provide chosen / preferred sample terminal solution with RFP response for integration testing.
• All handsets should ne compliant with PCI PTS 6.x, EMV Level 1 and 2 Contact and Contactless standards
