Lotto NZ is look at offering Instant Win Games (IWGs) given their success in other international lottery jurisdictions. IWGs offer the familiarity of retail scratch cards combined with the innovation and interactivity of digital. Physical scratch cards have been sold across our retail network since 1989 under the ‘Instant Kiwi’ brand name. They make up 15 percent of Lotto NZ’s retail sales and are an R18 age-restricted product.
In order to offer this new game type, subject to regulatory approval, Lotto NZ needs to source first and foremost an IWG gaming platform. Secondary requirements include a portfolio of games for launch, and an ongoing supply of new games.
