Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills & Technology t/a Unitec (“Unitec”, “Buyer”, “we” or “us”), is looking to scope, investigate and identify activities for potential partnership between Unitec and four Tāmaki Makaurau iwi collectives:
* Marutūāhu,
* Ngāti Whātua,
* Waiohua-Tāmaki, and
* Te Whānau o Waipereira.
The partnership projects will give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and enhance the delivery of vocational education to better meet the needs of ākonga Māori with a particular focus on identifying future opportunities for:
* Creating pathways to employment
* Developing bespoke iwi-led vocational education plans
* Supporting iwi led-regional economic development activities; and
* Improving collaboration on educational and research activities at Unitec
To explore potential areas for collaboration, Unitec is looking to conduct a series of hui wānanga focused on articulating identified priority areas for each iwi that could cover:
1. Educational outcomes
2. Research outcomes
3. Economic outcomes
4. Employment outcomes; and
5. Social outcomes
