Fibre Channel Switches
Earth Sciences NZ is seeking Quotes for the supply of 4 x Fibre Channel switches to replace ageing SAN switching infrastructure at both the Wellington and Hamilton sites
Required equipment:
• HPE Brocade OEM 32Gb Fibre Channel switches
• 48‑port switch chassis
• 32 ports to be included, licensed, and active at delivery
• Optics/transceivers included for all 32 active ports
• Rail kits
Supply only. Installation, configuration, or migration services are not required
Respondents must clearly confirm that the proposed solution meets these port, licensing, and optics requirements.
Pure Storage Expansion
Earth Sciences NZ is seeking Quotes for 2 x Pure Storage expansion (for Wellington and Hamilton), these are to be delivered to our Data Centres in Wellington (Datacom) and Hamilton (Datacom).
The required configuration is:
• FA//C50R5 with Chassis Gen2, 4‑Port FC 32G, 186TB usable capacity
Respondents must:
• Price the above configuration separately for each site
• Identify whether the configuration is offered as specified or propose an equivalent alternative
• Clearly state any assumptions relating to compatibility, licensing, or prerequisites

Earth Sciences New Zealand advises that the RFQ ESNZ000109RFQ – Fibre Channel Switches and Pure Storage Expansion has been completed.
A split award has been made.
The Pure Storage (Wellington) component has been awarded to Sempre Technologies, based on the most competitive pricing and availability for the specified platform.
The Fibre Channel Switch component is intended to be awarded to Lexel Systems, reflecting alignment with ESNZ’s existing HPE infrastructure and to minimise integration and support risk.
