Overview

Te Waihanga is seeking information from the market about designing, developing and project managing a Major Projects Leadership Programme to strengthen capability and grow the profile of major project leaders in New Zealand.

We are looking to develop a leadership programme that will focus on fostering the critical capabilities of senior Public Sector project leaders to ensure significant infrastructure projects are delivered on time, within specification, and on budget, every time.
Potential suppliers for this programme will have a strong track record in delivering effective leadership programmes, ideally understand successful infrastructure project delivery and will be able to anchor the development in our New Zealand context, specifically the commitment to honour our Treaty of Waitangi obligations.

This RFI is seeking information on the potential capability and capacity of suppliers to:
a) tailor an existing leadership programme to meet our needs, or
b) design and deliver a new leadership programme to build the capabilities of our major project leaders.

The information from the RFI, along with a needs analysis process will inform the design and the final requirements of the programme, as well as the relevant procurement process.

This programme gives effect to Recommendation 68 in Rautaki Hanganga o Aotearoa Te Waihanga’s 30-year strategy, which endorses the creation of a Major Projects Leadership Academy. It is also one of the seven highlighted actions in the Government Infrastructure Action plan.
