Pricing is an important tool for improving infrastructure provision. We want to build a better picture of existing infrastructure pricing in New Zealand and be able to recommend best practice approaches to pricing.
Through this project, we wish to obtain:
• An economic framework for pricing networked infrastructure (energy, land transport, water, and telecommunications)
• An exploration of how equity may be affected
• A description of how infrastructure services are currently priced
• Data/information about prices and pricing practices in New Zealand.
We are looking for providers who have experience in applying economic frameworks to the analysis of infrastructure provision and pricing in New Zealand, as well as deep knowledge of the physical characteristics of the energy, land transport, water, and telecommunications sectors.
We intend to release the RfP on GETS on Monday 10 October 2022. We will hold a supplier briefing at 2:30pm on Monday 17 October via Teams. To register email pricingstudy@tewaihanga.govt.nz.
