Fire and Emergency New Zealand is seeking to establish a national panel of suppliers to deliver telecommunications installation services across its network of sites. The panel will support a wide range of activities including installation, upgrade, commissioning, remediation, and decommissioning of telecommunications infrastructure. This includes radio, paging, satellite and related systems across station sites and remote locations.
A key focus of this procurement is delivery of the Personal Alerting Generation 2 programme. This involves upgrading, replacing, and decommissioning infill paging sites. These works are critical to maintaining alerting capability and must be delivered within defined timeframes.
Beyond this programme, the panel will provide a flexible and scalable approach to delivering ongoing telecommunications installation requirements. This includes station upgrades, turnout systems, power and DC system improvements, and support for future operational communications and ICT initiatives. It also includes access specialist telecommunications installation capability and technical resources where required.
Fire and Emergency is seeking suppliers with strong technical capability, proven experience in telecommunications installations in critical infrastructure environments, and the ability to operate safely in remote and high-risk locations.
The panel will be non-exclusive and used on an as required basis. Work will be allocated based on capability, capacity, performance, and regional coverage. Appointment to the panel does not guarantee any minimum volume of work.
