The plans, specifications and reports that form part of this RFP provide the detail on what’s required, below is an overview of the scope of works that’s to be included:
• Structural Improvements which consist of adding structural steel in certain areas
• Re-pitching the roof and internal gutters to sections of the station
• Replacement of external weatherboards
• Replacement of external joinery
• Upgrading the electrical distribution boards
• Upgrading fire and smoke separations and egress routes
• Installation of an approved fire alarm system
• Ablutions reconfiguring
• Installation of a mechanical ventilation system
• Construction Monitoring: Ongoing monitoring to ensure all construction work meets the required standards, resulting in PS4 sign-off.

The station must remain operational during construction, suppliers will need to provide a programme of works that allows for the station to remain operational.
Fire and Emergency has a strong preference for a site visit conducted by the prospective suppliers to inspect the works required to accurately complete their response.
