Fire and Emergency requires a supplier to provide a comprehensive equipment recycling service that includes:
• Collection, transportation, and environmentally responsible processing of decommissioned equipment from multiple locations across New Zealand.
• Compliance with all relevant environmental, waste management, privacy, and information security regulations, including the New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM).
• Secure data destruction and disposal of equipment containing sensitive or confidential information, with full chain of custody documentation.
• Maximisation of opportunities for reuse, refurbishment, and donation of equipment where appropriate.
• Transparent and detailed reporting on recycling and disposal activities, including asset tracking, waste diversion rates, and demonstrated sustainability benefits.

Fire and Emergency is looking for a supplier that is approved by Government Communications Security Bureau as a secure destruction facility that can provide an efficient, robust, and sustainable recycling and disposal service.
