We wish to engage a construction supplier to carry out works at Mt Maunganui fire station to address critical structural repair and strengthening work necessary to bring the Mt Maunganui Fire Station up to the required safety standards.

The scope of works will entail the below, all documents and detailed plans will be made available to those shortlisted through to the RFP stage:
• Significant structural strengthening across the ground floor and to the underside of the upper floor, including installation of new steel cross-bracing, remediation of floor trusses, the installation and alteration of portal frames, along with associated foundation work.
• Repairs to address identified weathertightness issues on the upper floor deck.
• Minor modifications to improve fire safety compliance.

The project aims to strengthen the building to achieve ≥50% NBS (New Building Standard) for Importance Level 4 (IL4) while ensuring the building remains occupied and fully operational throughout the works.
