Overview

Fire and Emergency New Zealand is seeking to select a single, high-functionality, cloud-based, application platform as a service as a common platform that can manage individual cases and workflow and can interface between Fire and Emergency and the public.
The platform is expected to support business processes, information flows, reporting and data analytics versus individual approaches with several disparate platforms supporting each system. Many of its business activities are currently managed across several legacy systems, some of which will reach their ‘end of life’ in 2021 whereas others are using Access databases and/or spreadsheets.
This procurement is stage one of a two-stage sourcing strategy to support the selection, implementation, maintenance and ongoing enhancement of the platform for Fire and Emergency.
• Stage 1 - focusses on the selection of the base platform (shortlisting). It is intended that up to two platform providers will be shortlisted to progress through to the second stage
• Stage 2 - this stage (anticipated to be achieved through a closed-RFP issued in the first half of 2021) will focus on confirming the platform selection from the platforms shortlisted in Stage 1 and securing external capability and capacity required to support FENZ to effectively utilise that platform and will seek provider(s) of:
o Implementation and Support services
o Change/application module configuration services.
It is necessary for FENZ to know the outcome of the Stage 1 RFP before any potential selection for support and change services can be undertaken.
