Further changes in the levy regime will occur, for example the base broadening to material damage, not just fire damage, and the fire levy on motor vehicle insurance will also be extended to include third party insurance, and the These additional changes are scheduled to be in place from January 1, 2019.
FENZ must ensure that technology components are in place to effectively administer the new levy regime.
FENZ is a partner in the emergency services sector, and as such needs to attain and maintain a respected position and strong relationships with levy payers (insurers, brokers, others) who submit their levies to FENZ and be a respected partner of key agencies and organisations, in a position to influence policy, contributing to a high performing, sustainable and resilient sector.
FENZ must ensure that technology components are in place to effectively engage and interact with these external organisations.
Fire and Emergency NZ is keen to understand the current market capability to deliver technology enabling us to effectively and efficiently receive levy information, to manage, reconcile, audit and report on it.
