Currently Fire and Emergency New Zealand use steel or alloy Breathing Apparatus (BA) Cylinders, as part of our continuous improvement, we are now moving to new composite cylinders that are lighter (5kg compared to 11 to 15kg) and are rated at 300 bars. Resulting in a requirement to dispose of 4000 used steel/alloy BA cylinders.
As part of the disposal, the 4000 used steel BA Cylinders come complete with VTI ratchet valve.
All units are currently certified and can be used with a 200 Bar compressed air system.
The dimensions of the cylinders are:
• Height: 51 cm
• Height including valve 59 cm
• Diameter 56 cm
• Weight 11.9 kg.
