New Zealand Fire Service wishes to engage with a certified demolition company to demolish, and remove from site the Earthquake damaged unused Woolston Fire Station, and the workshop / former USAR base at Woolston Fire Station site.
Some of these buildings have been confirmed to contain asbestos, which is required to be removed by a certified contractor. A copy of the report identifying the affected buildings is attached. Site clearance works need to be completed, including removal of hardstand, landscaping, fencing, services and partial firewall removal. All items for removal are detailed in the attached demolition plan and specifications from Holmes Consulting Group.
The removal of asbestos must be in accordance with the New Zealand guidelines for the Management and Removal of asbestos (3rd Edition).
