NZFS would like to quantify how Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) would add value by improving our operational intelligence, increase safety and be cost effective compared to existing capabilities for the event types described. We would utilise this to inform future emergency service response strategy.
Note RPAS is a term that also includes Drones, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).
