The New Zealand Film Commission invites tenders from organisations interested in partnering with the NZFC. The tender is to administer and manage the Fresh Shorts Development and Production programme including the project management of the Development Lab, funding and delivery of short films at a $15,000 grant level and providing support to filmmakers for the production and delivery of films. NZFC is not looking for proposals of a new funding initiative or process for Fresh Shorts or funding short films and talent development.
NZFC is seeking partnership with collaborative organisations or companies with a nurturing and empathetic approach who can provide ongoing administration, process management, technical support and development capability for Fresh Shorts in the future. We encourage collaboration and partnership between organisations applying for this tender.
The NZFC will be using a ‘two envelope’ system for the evaluation. This means that Respondents must provide all financial information relating to price, expenses and costs in a separate PDF document delivered electronically with the completed Response form.
Applicants must email rftquestions@nzfilm.co.nz to receive links to the Fresh Shorts Development and Production Handbook and related files. Applicants are required to read the Handbook and materials in order to complete the application.
Applicants are also required to have:
A demonstrable annual turnover of no less than NZ$250,000 per annum for the last 3 financial years;
At least two (2) full-time equivalent (FTE) employees or contractors engaged at any one time (an FTE employee or contractor is generally considered to work 30 hours or more per week;
Tender applications close at 5pm on Monday 11th of February 2019.
Closing Date for Questions from suppliers is Friday 18th of January however the NZFC office will be closed from Monday 24th of December 2018 to Friday 4th January 2019. Questions will be processed from Monday 14th of December to Friday 21st of December and in the new year from Monday the 7th of January to Friday 25th of January.
Interviews with Short-listed Respondents will be on Wed 13th Thurs and 14th of March 2019
Selection of Preferred Respondent and Start Contractual Negotiations Mon 18 March.
