Overview
Babcock NZ Ltd (Babcock) is seeking Tenders from suppliers to provide a replacement Launch and Recovery System (LARS) for the two sea boats on the ANZAC Frigates. The sea boats act as Fast Rescue Boats (FRB) on the frigates and the LARS are to adhere to all required international standards. In general these services will be provided at the Devonport Naval Base.
The limited capacity of the current ANZAC boat cranes means that they are neither fit for purpose nor have the capability to lift the next generation RHIBs, which are to be delivered in the next 2 years.
A contract may be awarded for these services, based on a successful award made under this RFT exercise.
