Overview
The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) is inviting submissions of ROIs to supply a new off-grid power supply system for the NZDF Naval Field Station located on the Great Barrier Island. This system will comprising of a photovoltaic (PV) based energy storage system and new standby diesel generation.
In general the project involves:
- Removing of existing generators.
- New PV system with batteries.
- New battery shed.
- New back diesel generators.
- New diesel tank and fuel system.
- Remedial works to generator building.
- Minor remedial works to the sites existing power distribution system.
