Customs is planning to relocate a combined warehouse and office operation, currently operating within the Auckland International Airport (AIA) precinct, to a new premises also within the AIA precinct.

The new premises will require suitable design and construction for the operations it will support. For the purpose of this RFP, Customs anticipates undertaking:
1. Feasibility Study / Early-stage Design.
2. Detailed Design and associated costing.
3. Construction support including consenting, construction and fitout support, and quantity survey support during construction phase.

The Air Cargo Inspections Facility (ACIF) operations to be relocated are diverse and include air cargo visual inspection, air cargo forensic testing, detector dog training, stored goods, storage and management, training facilities, and supporting office-based functions.
