The Government of Kiribati is seeking bids for a long-term concession to operate the Captain Cook Hotel on Kiritimati. The proposal is a concession and lease of 25 years with potential for extension for a further 20 years.
The Government is looking at more than a lease of the business. It seeks proposals for improvement of facilities and services in the wider interests of Kiribati and Kiritimati, and is willing to price the concession accordingly.

Potential bidders should provide a short statement providing the name and a summary profile of the company or organisation, street, postal, and email addresses, phone, and the name and position of the contact person. They will be emailed an information pack about Kiribati, Kiritimati Island, and the hotel.
To obtain more information on the proposed concession, potential buyers will be required to sign a Deed of Confidentiality and agree to the Due Diligence Protocol. Once these have been signed, they will receive more detailed financial information including a draft of the proposed Concession Agreement identifying core requirements and aspects subject to competitive bids.
