Antarctica New Zealand employees approximately 50 fixed term staff each year in Antarctica to help facilitate the world-class science the organisation supports. They perform diverse roles, in potentially challenging and hazardous environments. Keeping our staff, contractors and visitors safe is a core value.
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather information on the available approaches we might take to ensure our people can perform their roles safely and effectively. It is hoped the RFI will help identify the best approach for the organisation to train and assess the competence of our staff working in Antarctica, to inform the development of an internal business case.
The RFI process will not be used to select or shortlist suppliers, it is simply intended to solicit feedback from industry with respect to the subject matter described. If the confirmed approach requires supplier/s to provide goods and/or services, as per the New Zealand Government’s procurement guidelines, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued.
