Overview

Professional services are sought to develop a Rainfall, Tidal, and Storm-Surge Model (RTSSM) for the Northern Wairoa, Northland.

- Develop a robust hydrodynamic model to simulate rainfall-induced flooding, tidal effects, and storm surge events within the Northern Wairoa catchment, with a specific focus on the Dargaville area.
- Integrate hydrological data from rainfall and river flow gauges and meteorological data
- Analyse and understand how flows from the Wairoa catchment interact with tidal cycles and storm surge events to improve flood risk assessment and management.
- Implement a real-time data feed system to provide timely information for emergency response and evacuation planning during extreme weather events.



The tender will close at 6pm on 31st May 2024. We expect the project to be completed by the 31st March 2025.
