Overview

This Registration of Interest is the first step in a multi-step tender process.

Northland Regional Council (NRC) via their development partner Argyle Estates Limited (Argyle) is seeking Registrations of Interest (ROI’s) from suitably qualified contractors for the redevelopment of 8 Kensington Avenue, Whangarei. Argyle are proposing to redevelop the site which includes the refurbishment of the existing retail building to create approximately 11 new tenancies, and potentially the construction of a new childcare centre.

Argyle at this stage of the development have identified key tenants which will provide for a medical hub, recreation (gym), convenience and a mixture of food and beverage retailers. There is also a new building proposed on the northern portion of the site and will cater for a childcare facility (this is subject to change). The existing retail building on the subject site will be retained. However, the building will be refurbished internally and externally. There will be a requirement for partial demolition and asbestos removal.

The purpose of this Registration of Interest (ROI) is to prequalify and shortlist suitable Respondents. The ROI process involves a quality attribute evaluation methodology. ROI submissions should clearly demonstrate the Respondent's proven abilities in relation to the key aspects of the Contract Works. It is anticipated that shortlisted Respondents will then be asked to provide commercial proposals under a Request for Tender (RFT) process.
