The Network for Learning (N4L) requires dedicated Domain Name System (DNS) filtering and security services to support more than 2,500 New Zealand schools and kura and keep students safe online through nationally consistent DNS level protection.

To help us with evaluation planning, all Respondents intending to submit a Proposal for this RFP are asked to upload a Notice of Intention to Respond via GETS by 5pm Thursday 22 October 2026. The Notice of Intention to Respond should confirm the party who is intending to respond, which product is being proposed and whether the respondent is the product owner, a reseller or such other description as is relevant.

Please note that N4L’s preference is to deal directly with product owners where possible but is open to alternative contractual arrangements, such as (without limitation):
● Direct engagement with product owners;
● N4L engaging via a reseller; or
● N4L becoming a reseller themselves.

Proposals are expected to be submitted by the product owner or the party nominated by the product owner. N4L does not wish to receive multiple responses based on the same technical solution.

It is anticipated that the contract will begin in November / December 2026. The DNS Services must be in place by 31 March 2027.

The anticipated contract is for an initial 4 year term with a right of renewal for a further 1 year.
