Network for Learning (N4L) on behalf of the Ministry of Education are investigating the implementation of a Security Logging & Monitoring Platform to enhance the existing security logging and monitoring across approximately 2,500 schools, 80,000 school staff and devices, and 800,000 students with up to 400,000 BYOD devices. N4L will be seeking a provider for the Security Logging & Monitoring platform along with professional services skills to help implement and configure this platform and transfer the relevant knowledge to N4L.
In March 2021 N4L will issue a Registration of Interest (ROI) to identify potential long term vendors of a platform that will support ingestion of relevant security logging data for 2500 schools across New Zealand to be utilised by the N4L Security Services Team. Following assessment of responses to the ROI, N4L expects to release a closed Request for Proposal (RFP) to a select shortlist of ROI respondents.
