The newly formed Dargaville Community Development Board Inc, in conjunction with the Kaipara Grey Power Association Inc is seeking to investigate the possibility of developing a high end community based retirement village for Dargaville. Whilst the nature of the retirement village is yet to be determined, it is expected that it will yield both private and public benefits for the area.
The business feasibility study needs to determine whether the proposed market is suitable for the development of a retirement village and what characteristics/services the development should offer. This can be determined through the use of demographic information and trends and undertaking an analysis on what is currently on offer in the region. It should also identify the economic and social impacts that the development would have on the local region.
