Overview

NIWA is in the process of finalising its design for the redevelopment of its site at 231 Milton Street (currently Citycare), Sydenham Christchurch and is seeking the services of a demolition and enabling works contractor to progress enabling works within the future NIWA Christchurch site prior to the main redevelopment which will be tendered at a future time under a separate main contract. We’re seeking a contractor who can integrate with our wider team to successfully deliver the demolition and enabling works package for NIWA.
This package includes various civil, demolition, infrastructure and services disconnection works.

This ROI is the first stage in NIWA’s procurement of a Demolition and Enabling Works Contractor to join their team for the NIWA Future Property Programme in Christchurch. NIWA has purchased a subdivided lot within what is currently the Citycare site at 231 Milton Street, Sydenham, Christchurch. This will be the new home for the NIWA Christchurch facility following demolition and clearance of the existing site buildings and infrastructure. This ROI stage focuses on non-price evaluation criteria outlining experience, personnel, capability, training and development, Health and Safety and Greenstar requirements.
The second stage in the procurement will be a closed RFP to shortlisted suppliers from the ROI process. The RFP will request fixed lump sum pricing, detailed programme, confirmed methodology and team against the finalised scope, and acceptance of contract conditions which will be NZS 3910:2013 based.
