This RFQ relates to the engagement of a competent Contractor to undertake the following Scope of Works.
The Taradale Library Lighting Upgrade involves the replacement of the existing lighting system within the library with a new LED lighting solution. The current system is at end-of-life and relies on obsolete lamps that are no longer available. As a result, lighting failures are occurring and areas of the library are becoming under-lit, affecting the operation and usability of the space.
A proposed lighting design and layout has been developed and is included within the Contract Documents. The project requires the Contractor to supply and install the new lighting system, including all fittings, cabling, controls, fixings, commissioning, and associated works necessary to deliver a complete and operational system. The upgraded lighting is intended to provide consistent light levels throughout the library, improve overall lighting quality, and deliver a reliable, energy-efficient solution suitable for a public facility.
The works will be undertaken within an operational library, and the Contractor will be required to coordinate the works to minimise disruption to staff and the public. Staging of works or after-hours installation may be required.
The intent is to:
• Improve lighting levels and uniformity
• Upgrade to energy-efficient LED systems
• Improve user comfort within an operational public facility
•Replace obsolete lighting infrastructure with a reliable, maintainable solution
• Deliver the works in accordance with the provided lighting design and layout.
