Overview

Napier City Council are looking to appoint a civil contractor to undertake improvement works to the stormwater infrastructure in Carlyle Street - Napier.

The Carlyle Street culvert is a critical component of the Napier CBD stormwater infrastructure. It diverts a significant catchment from the northern sector of the CBD and surrounding hillsides to the open drainage network outside of the CBD. Over the years it has accumulated sediment that has now reduced capacity in areas by approximately 60%. Additionally, multiple utility services pass perpendicular through the culvert which exacerbates the sediment buildup.

The focus of the construction works will be on the removal of sections of the culverts’ roof panels and replacing them with new pre-constructed roof panels with improved access.

Please submit your RFT using the response form provided by 2pm on 16 July.

All questions in relation to the RFT must be submitted via the GETS Q&A function prior to 5pm 10 July.
