The event
Nelson Opera in the Park is a one‑night outdoor music celebration held in the natural amphitheatre of Trafalgar Park in February every two years. It brings together big operatic voices, classical masterpieces, and modern musical favourites, showcased by a mix of top New Zealand and international performers.

What we require
A competent and capable Production Manager:
• to organise all technical aspects and ensure that they are fully delivered in time for the Opera in the Park event
• to organise and manage all subcontracts on site
• to ensure that all costs are within a budget set by Nelson City Council
• to comply with all relevant regulatory aspects such as Traffic Management Plan (including road closure and parking management) and building consents
• to collaborate and work in partnership with the musical director, and other contractors and partners
