This advance Notice of Information (NOI) is to advise that Massey University (Massey) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) on GETS in early November 2018 for the establishment of Tier 1 National Supplier Panel to deliver its major capital development programme (circa $500 million).
It is also proposed to procure the Innovation Complex (IC) building at Albany Campus, Auckland construction services with the establishment of Tier 1 Supplier Panel.
The IC construction works is estimated $82 million based on the Developed Design. The intention is to have early contractor involvement on Detailed Design stage and the construction completed in mid-2022.
Massey’s intent is to engage Tier 1 Panel suppliers in the early stages, by working collaboratively with them and building committed relationships going forward, that would lead to a non-traditional approach to construction procurement (i.e. work in an open book sub-trade tendering, collaborative contracting and partnership approach).
Massey will hold one briefing session on 10am-11:30am, Thursday 1st November 2018 at the Albany Campus, Auckland (Room QB1, Seminar Room, Quad Block B).
Responses to the RFP are expected to be submitted early December 2018.
