Overview

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (‘RFP’) is to select one or more providers capable of providing Massey with comfortable, safe and affordable Wellington based accommodation facilities for students which enhance the overall student experience and which meet, or exceed, the expectations of students and their families.

Massey University has a requirement to accommodate, on an ongoing basis, up to 430 Wellington campus-based students in total. To achieve the required outcome Massey anticipates that responses to this RFP may include one or more of the following approaches, but not be limited to:

a) the design and construction of new facilities off-campus;
b) the refurbishment of existing buildings off-campus to provide new accommodation facilities;
c) the design and construction of facilities on-campus. In support of this option some guidance related to the potential site is provided in Appendix 1;
d) the provision of existing fit-for-purpose capacity;
e) responses accommodating your proposed number of students. This may be fewer than 430 students;
f) responses consisting of one of more facilities; or
g) a combination of the above.
