Massey University invites proposals for the provision of a pilot server-hosted desktop virtualisation implementation (the Pilot) for teaching and learning purposes. Massey has about 1,500 Microsoft Windows Operating System PCs and approximately 500 Apple Operating System PCs in a variety of T&L spaces across its three campuses (Albany, Manawatu and Wellington).

The purpose of this RFP is to select and pilot one or more server-hosted desktop virtualisation systems suitable for existing Teaching & Learning (T&L) spaces, supporting a variety of software applications ranging from common (e.g. Microsoft Office) to highly specialised CAD applications, image manipulation applications, video manipulation applications, statistical analysis applications, and others.
