On 29 January 2020, Government announced the New Zealand Upgrade Programme (NZUP), a $12 billion programme of investment in additional transport, health and education infrastructure across New Zealand. The Ministry is establishing the NZUP Oversight Group to ensure that a mechanism is in place to provide integrated assurance and monitoring across the transport component of the programme.

The Ministry is seeking to appoint up to two external members to the NZUP Oversight Group. We are looking for individuals with deep skills and experiences in overseeing the delivery of large and complex infrastructure projects, with skills in assurance, governance, engineering, portfolio/programme management, finance and procurement in a transport context.
