Masterton District Council are seeking a suitable, qualified Demolition Contractor who can undertake the deconstruction of Masterton District Council’s (MDC) Town Hall and Municipal Buildings (the Works). The works will involve the demolition of the existing infrastructure (both above and below ground), and the site will be ready for redevelopment. This includes the removal of all contaminated and non-contaminated items as required.
MDC is looking for providers who have a sound methodology for demolition and will demonstrate well thought-out planning for key aspects such as site access, traffic management, deconstruction processes, material management, and, where possible, working with consultants to consider ways to salvage and reuse parts of the old structure to be used in the planned future design.
We are looking for providers that will deal with the complete removal in a timely manner.
We intend to go to market mid-July 2025, with responses expected in August. The opportunity will be advertised on the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS). When the documents have been released to the market, we will hold a supplier briefing and site visit in Masterton within one week of the release of the documents.
