Overview

This RFP relates to the procurement of a Quantity Surveyor who can provide cost consultancy services (Services) for Masterton District Council’s (MDC) Town Hall and Municipal Buildings Project (the Project) in a collaborative working environment.

The Masterton Town Hall is earthquake-prone, and the structural reporting, fit-for-purpose assessment, and cost estimates show that it is unreasonable for MDC to invest in upgrading the building in its entirety or retaining its heritage façade. The objective of the Project is to demolish the existing building structure and design and construct a replacement facility that provides better outcomes for MDC and the community.

MDC is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to provide a full and comprehensive service across the full duration of the project:

Demolition and establishment

Design and consent

Construction

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who can help us to successfully deliver these objectives through:

implementing effective controls to provide full transparency on risks and issues for the Project and proactive management of these to keep it on track.

ensuring stakeholders are satisfied that the final design solution for the Town Hall and Municipal Buildings meets or exceeds MDC and community needs.

a collaborative team approach founded on best for project outcomes rather than individual organisational interests.
