Masterton District Council (MDC) owns, operates and maintains public water, wastewater and stormwater assets within the Masterton district. MDC also owns and supports, several smaller schemes in rural locations.
Through its Utility Services Department, MDC is responsible for the management and operation of these water, wastewater and stormwater assets.
MDC covers an area of approximately 242,690 hectares with a population of around 25,500. 80% of the population live in the District’s principal town – Masterton, whilst the coastal settlements of Castlepoint and Riversdale host an extensive tourist and holiday population.
MDC is commencing a process to identify the company or companies that will provide it with services for its water, sewerage and stormwater services, who are able to provide high levels of service coupled with appropriate technical expertise which will enhance the live of the associated assets.
