Contract No. 2398 Road Network Maintenance and Resealing 2026 - 2031 – This contract is for the maintenance of the local road network consisting of approximately 1018km of local roads (968km sealed and 50km unsealed) and includes the resealing and second coat sealing of between 350,000 and 600,000m2 of road annually. The term of the contract is 5 years (1 July 2026 to 30 June 2031) with two optional extensions of + 3 years and + 2 years.

On 11 May 2026 this was awarded to Downer New Zealand Limited in the sum of $52,705,123.45 (excluding GST) using Price Quality method.
