This contract is for the construction of the Civil Works for Matamata Wastewater Treatment Plant located on Pepper Street, Matamata. It involves the acquisition of materials and units (with the exception of Principal supplied equipment, including the inlet works package and membrane package), construction and commissioning of the wastewater treatment plant as per the detailed design.

Contract No. 2378 Matamata Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade: Main Civil Works – This contract is for the construction of the Civil Works for Matamata Wastewater Treatment Plant located on Pepper Street, Matamata. It involves the acquisition of materials and units (with the exception of Principal supplied equipment, including the inlet works package and membrane package), construction and commissioning of the wastewater treatment plant as per the detailed design.

On 24 June 2025 this was awarded to Spartan Construction Limited in the sum of $34,500,650.25 (excluding GST) using Weighted Attribute method.

A total of 3 conforming tenders were received with prices ranging from $34,500,650.25 to $39,641,021.00.
