Overview
This contract is for design and build of a water treatment plant to remove elevated iron from raw water and ensure treatment and controls are sufficient to comply with New Zealand Drinking Water Standards 2005 ( revised 2008) and Resource Consent (#133023.01.01) to take groundwater.
The Water Treatment plant is to be constructed adjacent to existing pump shed (shown in Appendix I) site at Raungaiti Aerodrome accessed from 6393 State Highway 27, Raungaiti. The water treatment facility will comprise but not limited to:
a. Contact tank.
b. pH adjustment - chemical storage and dosing pumps.
c. Filtration units (modular).
d. UV treatment train.
e. Backwash tank and pump.
f. Control system (VSD on pumps, turbidity, flowmeters) and telemetry controls.
