The Ministry has identified that the Minor Capital Works - Hamilton & Tauranga Project for multiple locations in Hamilton and Tauranga requires an experienced Main Contractor to undertake the works. Upon review and evaluation of submissions received, the Ministry reserves the right to award the contract to one contractor for the entirety of the project, or split the contract into different sites.

The services required are as follows:

Hamilton District Court

• Building Management Systems – Renewal of front-end hardware and software, renewal of field controllers, remediation of defective field devices and re-commission.
• Weather Tightness Remediation - Water penetration causing the external coating to delaminate and into Level 1 front foyer walls spoiling internal walls. Remediate roof and wall water-proofing. Treat water damage external fabric and recoat with sealant (external paint). Remediate internal fabric. Coating to be guaranteed for 10 years. This work is at height.
• Painting – exterior painting to be carried out.
• Fire Compliance Works including additional emergency lighting, fire exits signs, upgrading current doors to fire doors, some fire compartmentalisation and upgrade of the fire alarm system.

Hamilton High Court

• Painting – exterior painting to be carried out.

Hamilton Old High Court

• Painting – exterior painting and remedials to parapet and downpipes to be carried out.

Tauranga High/ District Court

• Building Management Systems – Renewal of front-end hardware and software, renewal of field controllers, remediation of defective field devices and re-commission.
• Roof Remediation – remediation of internal and external fabrics, renewal of water-proof membrane.
• HVAC Renewal – air conditioning systems replacement, re-commissioning and balance of current chiller & chilled water pumps.
