The Ministry of Justice (“the Ministry”) requires the supply of main building contractor services for the New Plymouth High/District Court HVAC replacement, Court refresh, extension and fire protection upgrade project (“the Services”). The Ministry seeks a Registration of Interest from organisations (“Respondents”) with the capability and expertise to provide the required Services.

The Ministry has identified that the HVAC system requires replacement of key parts due to the age of the system and to provide better temperature control within the building. At the same time the building will undergo an internal refresh including re-decorating and new carpet throughout. The services required are as follows:

HVAC Replacement – New roof mounted outdoor AC units, indoor AC units, ductwork and diffusers including all associated works.

Court Refresh – Redecorate and new carpet throughout the building. Reconfiguration and fit-out of the ground floor staff offices and public counters.

Court Extension – extend the building to provide extra staff accommodation.

Fire Protection Upgrade – new smoke detectors or sprinkler system to meet current fire code requirements.
