The Ministry of Justice wishes to update the market regarding the proposed redevelopment of the Rotorua Law Courts.

The Ministry is working in partnership with Crown Infrastructure Delivery (CID) to progress the delivery of the new Rotorua courthouse. Governance, roles, and delivery arrangements are currently being established through a Delivery Agreement between the parties. Once these arrangements are finalised the Ministry and CID will be able to advise the agreed delivery method for this project. The Ministry is currently progressing early works to support this project, including the demolition of the existing building at the proposed new site for the courthouse.

We recognise there is significant market interest in this project, however until these arrangements are finalised, we are unable to confirm what opportunities exist for suppliers.

Further information regarding the procurement approach, scope, timing, and market engagement activities will be released through GETS when the delivery arrangements have been finalised and the project is ready to proceed to market.
