The Hamilton Coronial Services Unit (CSU) is relocating from 219 Collingwood Street to new leased premises at Level 2, 18 London Street, Hamilton. The relocation is required due to the current site no longer being fit for purpose, with capacity constraints, operational inefficiencies, and a lack of appropriate separation between coronial staff, Coroners and the public.
The new premises requires a full internal fit out, including a multidisciplinary hearing room, Judicial chambers, staff work areas, public waiting spaces and associated support areas. The Main Contractor engagement has almost concluded, and the Ministry now needs to procure a specialist furniture supplier from the AoG Workplace and Classroom Furniture Panel to supply, deliver and install all required FFE.
