This is a secondary procurement opportunity through the Ministry of Justice Minor Works Construction Panel. This Request for Quotes (RFQ) constitutes a Request for Service under the Panel. The supplier is asked to submit a Quote in response, which will form their Services Package.
The Ministry of Justice (the Ministry) is seeking a main construction contractor with proven experience delivering high-quality fit-out projects in live, tenanted environments to complete works associated with the Hamilton Coroners Court Relocation and Fit-Out project.
The works will deliver a modern, fit-for-purpose Coroners Court on Level 2, 18 London Street, Hamilton. The fit-out includes construction of a multijurisdictional hearing room, public and whanau spaces, judicial offices, staff work areas, and associated amenities. Works will incorporate acoustic treatments, AV and security infrastructure, LED lighting, flooring, and a kitchenette.
The building is a commercial property with other tenants, requiring careful sequencing of noisy works and coordination with building management to minimize disruption. The Ministry expects an expedited programme, with an estimated three-month construction period, and proactive engagement with stakeholders to ensure safe access and continuity for other occupants.
The contract is anticipated to be awarded February 2026.
