Overview

The Ministry is looking for a supplier (or supplier collaboration of no more than two suppliers) for the national delivery of the new restorative justice (RJ) training and accreditation framework.
The Ministry anticipates that the training programme will include the delivery of:
• Standard RJ training (foundational component)
• Family violence training (advanced component)
• Sexual violence training (advanced component)
The accreditation process will likely involve the supplier assessing RJ facilitators within a specified timeframe, to ensure high quality service delivery and adherence with the RJ Practice Framework and Practice Standards.
The components will align with the RJ Practice Framework, Practice Standards for Family Violence and Practice Standards for Sexual Offending cases.

We will be seeking a supplier who:
• has experience in delivering training and accreditation programmes
• has an understanding of RJ and the sensitive nature of RJ cases that facilitators may be exposed to in their work, including family and sexual violence dynamics
• can deliver the services in a way that responds to the diverse and specific needs of facilitators and their community
• have processes in place to assess service delivery, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Further information about RJ is available online at www.justice.govt.nz/courts/criminal/charged-with-a-crime/how-restorative-justice-works/

The Ministry expects to release further information regarding this project in early 2024.

Please note: All Future Procurement Opportunities (FPO) are subject to revision or cancellation. The information contained in an FPO is for planning purposes only. It does not represent a pre-solicitation or an invitation for bids. It is not a commitment by the government to purchase the described goods or services.
