The Ministry invites shortlisted Respondents to Tender for the Wellington District Court Roof and Seismic Repair project.
The Wellington District Court roof and façade is in need of refurbishment and upgrading. The existing roof is in a poor state of repair and has been damaged further by earthquakes in recent years. Seismic flashings are not installed to some areas and window seals have come to the end of their working life. Parts of the external façade of the building are also looking tired and are due for redecoration – this will improve both the look and longevity of the building fabric.
At a high level, the following works will be in scope:
• Parapet guttering renewal/replacement
• Replacement of outlets & connection to downpipes
• Window rubber replacement and re-sealing
• Exterior painting of all façades
• Seismic joint flashing replacement
• Monier ceiling tile remedials
• Alterations to building maintenance infrastructure
We anticipate that the Contract will commence October 2019 and run until the completion of these works which will be approximately 8-10 months later.
