Overview
The Ministry of Justice contracts pathology, mortuary and other related services including laboratory tests, tissue return and transportation of the deceased. These services are provided to support Coroners in establishing the cause of death in each case.
The Ministry aims to develop an efficient and aligned service framework, delivered under new service contracts that reflect the nature of the tasks involved and the desired outcomes, awarded as a result of a competitive tender process.
