The purpose of this notice is to advise that the Ministry of Justice intends to release a Request for Information (RFI) for a Jury Management System.
The Ministry of Justice delivers court and tribunal services including collection of fines and reparation, provides policy advice and negotiates Treaty of Waitangi claims on behalf of the Government. The Ministry of Justice is the lead justice sector agency and also supports the judiciary.
A Jury Management System is a key technology and process of empanelling juries for trials in the New Zealand District, Combined and Higher Courts. Jury management represents a cornerstone of justice in New Zealand and is highly visible to citizens and potential and actual jurors. The Ministry is looking at the potential benefits, both from a business and efficiency process point of view as well as the juror experience, from deploying a modern Jury Management System for the future.
The Ministry will be seeking information from suppliers with experience of Jury Management systems and processes.
The indicative date for the release of the RFI is mid January 2017.
Note that no response to this notification is required. We are not expecting any questions or documents to be sent to us in relation to this NOI. Details of our requirements will be included in the Request for Information.
