The Arbitration Amendment Act comes into force on 1 March 2017. The Act states that the Minister of Justice must, by notice in the Gazette, appoint a suitably qualified body to resolve the matters specified in article 11(3) to (6) of Schedule 1 (of the Arbitration Act 1996). The Ministry of Justice is seeking applications from suitably qualified bodies to be assessed and a recommendation made to the Minister of Justice on the appointment of a single body.
Please note that the price band is not relevant to this Call for Applications as the appointment by the Minister of Justice will not attract any payment to the appointed body by the Ministry of Justice. Price band is a mandatory field in the GETS system therefore we have entered the lowest band possible only to enable the opportunity to be published.
